David Martin Jacques has been designing lighting, sets, and projections for the past 37 years. His work spans across Europe, Asia, South America, and North America. David has designed for some of the top directors in the world at venues such as The Royal Opera House, Teatro alla Scala, The English National Opera, The Lyric Opera of Chicago, Tokyo National Theatre, Central City Opera, Teatro San Carlo, The Canadian Opera Company, The Kirov in St. Petersburg, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Dallas Theatre Center, Disney Hall, The Norwegian Opera, and many more theatre, opera, dance, and special event organizations. David, along with fellow lighting educators Steve Woods (SMU) and Stan Kaye (University of Florida) created the popular weekly podcast "LIGHT TALK with The Lumen Brothers". This podcast is presented as an educational service for their professional design colleagues, as well as for students learning and faculty teaching lighting design throughout the world.
