Choreography: Movement & Technology

Live theatre and film director & choreographer Angela Lopez (professionally known Anjela Vega) as will join us in a conversation about working as a Dub Director for Netflix and as Francis Ford Coppola's movement coordinator using 30 cameras, moving sets and death defying stunts. Anjela Vega, has been a director and choreographer for over fifteen years creating works focused on change. She received her Masters in Directing at UCLA's Theatre, Film And Television. She has trained with movement companies such as Pilobolus and Push Physical Theatre, as well as acclaimed artists such as Tina Landau and Site-Specific choreographer, Stephen Koplowitz. She directed and choreographed an original opera that opened in both Los Angeles and New York City. In 2008 she founded Post Mortem Movement Theater and has been creating new works and immersive theatre with them ever since. She won a grant to study in Spoleto, Italy with top directors and choreographers and won a full scholarship to the British American Drama Academy (BADA) where she studied under John Barton. She currently directs music videos for various artists and directs for Netflix, Amazon and Disney.
